Have you ever felt your life is going too fast and it’s time to slow down? Staying at home and keeping the same routine won’t help much. To really feel the time slowing down and enjoying every moment of it there is no better way than taking a long railway journey. Luckily, there are plenty of those available. Today, we are going to look at Trans Siberian Express.
I’ll be honest – November is not the perfect time to visit Moscow Russia. It’s dark, dirty, muddy and will hardly impress as much as, say, in summer. But that’s when I visited and I will speak of this time of the year. I’ve been looking to visiting this huge city for a while already. As a European national, it wasn’t hard to get a visa. We decided to fly in, so my first impression was Sheremetyevo Airport. It’s huge! passport control is swift and easy, although authorities took their time to inspect my passport carefully. Finally we were out of the gates and met by our dear friends. Here are the Moscow Russia highlights – best of Moscow in November!
Russia has changed a lot since my last visit! It’s been 13 years, and now I finally got myself together to travel there again. Just like last time, we went to Saint Petersburg – the most “European” Russian city. The weather was great for beginning of May – warm and sunny, with highest at about +20C. It was lovely!
The story began in late December 2015, when I decided to spend few spring days in Russian Venice – Saint Petersburg. Having visited the city before, I had a clear plan of how this trip should look like: centrally located hotel, a lot of walking and museums, some shopping. There were three of us coming, so we needed a larger room or apartment. I always book my hotels on Booking.com, because I love their rating and feedback feature, attractive rates and wide choice of hotels.
