Cirque du Soleil Mystere review

Our Cirque du Soleil experience started with a proper research. We were only for 1 day in Las Vegas, so it had to be a good show for limited budget. For me, visiting Cirque du Soleil was one of the main reasons for coming to Vegas. Among other things, these shows are a true highlight and a must see for anyone visiting Sin City for the first time. Here is our story – Cirque du Soleil Mystere review and how to get cheap tickets to Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas.

Cirque du Soleil coupons

You can purchase tickets online in advance. For late runners like us ticket booths called Tix4Tonight offer quite nice discounts (up to 50%) for the same day shows (including Cirque du Soleil). You may purchase coupons in these booths all over the Strip – 11 in total. The closest to our hotel was the one at Bally’s Grand Bazaar. I recommend getting there early, they open at 10 am, but it’s better to be there at least half an hour before that, as usually there is a line! Good show tickets sell fast! Once you are in the line waiting, helpful reps may approach you and explain all the different options and prices. It’s great to hear about the shows and makes the check out process a lot faster.

Actual tickets

Once you arrive at the counter, you will buy the coupons and need to go to the respective hotel to change them for the actual tickets (with seat numbers). Make sure the head there as soon as possible to make sure you’ll get the best seats! We were lucky to get fantastic seats for the price as low as 50$/person. It was a charity show, so no tax was added.

Cirque du Soleil Mystere review – Treasure Island

Our show (Mystere) was supposed to be at Treasure Island. It’s quite a long walk from Bally’s but you get to see Mirage, Ceasar’s Palace and Venetian at daytime on your way. In the evening we called Uber as it was already too much walking for that day. The hotel is fabulous. We were really impressed with the size and scale of the theater. Everything looked new and the seats very really conformable. Truly, I was expecting something far worse than that.

The show – Mystere

The show we went for was called Mystere. Here is our Cirque du Soleil Mystere review – It’s a traditional circus show with acrobats, clowns, trapeze acts, jugglers, live music and singers. The stage was constantly transforming itself – visual effects made it look unreal at times. Performers did a great job too. We are not much of circus lovers, but this show really impressed us. The music was top class with live singers on stage. It was spectacular! Truly, world class show that you hardly get to see at home.

Overall experience

We were very satisfied with the show and Las Vegas in general. On our way back to the hotel, we got to see Vegas at night – the Mirage Volcano eruption and Ballagio fountains (these were a bit disappointing). The city is so different at night – I would say at it’s best! All the lights, billboards, the people, the atmosphere. We found a really nice Italian place for dinner, right next to the Lynx Wheel. It’s called Flour&Barley and they had the best canoli I’ve ever tasted outside of Italy. Highly recommend this place – lovely outside terrace, very friendly service and good food!

Cirque du Soleil Mystere review

As much as we loved Vegas, it was good to leave. The city requires a lot of energy and a lot of money. The choice of activities is almost limitless, sometimes it get too overwhelming and hard to decide where to go next. That’s why you need to prepare and plan ahead. For us, the obvious highlights were Cirque du Soleil, the Strip experience and attractions. However, that’s a lot to pack for 1 day and if visiting for the first time, one should take it easy. Therefore, it’s good to combine crazy Vegas with Grand Canyon visit for the balance.
